" My mother has lived at Vine House for almost a year. I desperately wanted her to find happiness after my father had died. Whilst he was alive her dementia was well hidden from the family. They needed each other to function. Fast forward four years of care provided by family and carers, mum had taken to wandering day and night. We were all in lock down and she wasn’t safe.

What a wonderful relief it was to find Vine House. Small and homely, just what mum needed. Mum had the choice of bedroom and everything has been done to keep her safe. She has put on weight and enjoys the home cooked meals. All the staff have gone above and beyond in caring for mum. She is happy and has settled into a new extended family. Photographs and videos are posted regularly and they are very much appreciated by family near and far.

I would strongly recommend Vine House. "

" Vine House is an excellent residential care home. My mother was admitted several years ago with Alzheimers disease. When she arrived she was in poor physical health and depressed and confused. Within weeks the special care afforded by the highly trained staff at Vine House had a marked effect and it wasn't long before she had become transformed, restored to physical health, cheerful and interacting with staff and visitors. We cannot praise the management and staff of Vine House enough. They are professional, caring and form close relationships with each of the residents, catering to their individual needs. It is an intimate, homely environment for the elderly residents in which no-one is left ignored or unattended. Food is fresh and cooked on the premises and family and friends are welcome at all times - often invited to chat and have a cup of tea and cake. The links with local health and welfare services are close and immediate.

When eventually my mother passed away at the age of 93 eight Vine House staff attended the funeral such was the personal attachment they had established with her.

We strongly recommend Vine House as an example of a caring organisation where the resident - and their family - comes first. "

" My father has been in Vine House since November 2015. He wasn't caring for himself in his own home and was very depressed and quite lonely. As a family we were struggling to care for him and he wasn't eating or drinking enough. Following many conversations with him it was agreed that the best place for him was a care home. We had heard good reports of Vine House and luckily a room had just become vacant. Since moving into Vine House dad has improved dramatically. He is eating and drinking much better and enjoys the company and 'banter'. The staff in Vine House are very caring, professional and encouraging and nothing is ever too much for them. They always have a smile for residents and visitors and visitors are made very welcome no matter what time of day they visit. I would have no hesitation in recommending Vine House to others. "

" My 89 year old mother in law has Altzeimer's and had been living on her own in a first floor flat. She had been experiencing various levels of home care but was deteriorating alarmingly and had experienced significant weight loss, confusion, mobility problems (badly swollen legs) and falls. In the roughly 18 months she has been living there she has gained weight and her legs have returned to normal. She is alert and although forgetful has made friends and takes part in the social life of the care home. She repeatedly describes how happy she is. The care and attention she receives from the excellent team of Vine House cannot be bettered. They are warm, fastidious, attentive, patient and encouraging. My mother in law is treated with dignity, respect and in a manner that is entirely appropriate to her background and circumstance. She is a different person from the one who entered the home and we cannot recommend Vine House highly enough. "

" After a rather difficult search for a care home suitable for my relative, Vine House was recommended to me by a care worker friend, and it hasn't disappointed. My relative has lived there for nearly two years now. The home is very clean and warm. The food is homemade and good. The decor is homely and comfortable. Every effort is made to accommodate different tastes and needs. I tend to visit at different times each week and yet whenever I visit the atmosphere is relaxed. The home seems well run and I have felt comfortable resolving any minor issues e.g. hairdressing or toiletries. Although my relative is unable to join in with most activities and trips due to health problems, every effort is made to make my relative feel included in day to day life. Last, but not least a care home is only as good as it's staff and I think the staff are kind, patient, caring and amazingly all seem to have a good sense of humour! "
